AMVETS (American Veterans)

AMVETS was established in 1944 to welcome home veterans of World War II. Unlike some other organizations, AMVETS membership is open to any veteran with an honorable discharge, regardless of when or where they served. AMVETS operates service programs, career development, and community outreach across the country.

Eligibility: Any U.S. military veteran who has received an honorable discharge is eligible to join AMVETS, regardless of service era or deployment history.
